12 Days of Christmas - Day 2 - Deck The Halls!

As a designer, I do A LOT of decorating during the holidays! I decorate clients homes as well as I decorate my own and I absolutely LOVE it!

Today I am sharing all of my fav decor trends!

If we have learned anything this year it is the importance of home and family. Our homes have become the centre of our universes like they have never been before. More time together than ever and more time to connect, what a blessing! This year I am very sentimental about personalizing my holiday home and going that extra step to create spaces that have meaning! I love these personalized signs, tree skirts and stockings.

Desire 2 Inspire - Let's Start With A Little Local Love!

Desire 2 Inspire is your local vinyl specialist! Marcy designs and creates signs, coffee cups, custom Santa sacks and everything else you can dream up! Desire 2 Inspire facilitates public and private crafting workshops where you can DIY. During covid, they have put together take-home crafting kits for all ages and ability levels. D2I sent home the easiest and cutest craft for me to try! They are wooden gift tags with different vinyl messages! You can use them as tree ornaments, gift tags or give them as gifts themselves! This is a great one to do with the kiddos!

I LOVE the monogram department at Pottery Barn! I just want my name on everything! They have an entire department that is customizable that has Christmas decor and gift ideas.

I am in love with everything Primrose creates! A family run business, Karina designs the pieces and her husband Jamie builds some of the most beautiful decor and furniture you'll ever see! Their Christmas shop has so many beautiful things and they are all customizable to the stain of your choice! Tree Skirt

This tree skirt is easily the most 'asked about' product on my Instagram! Everyone wants to know 'Where is this tree skirt from?' The answer Is Crate & Barrel. I have had it for a few years and I fall in love with it a little more every time I pull it out of storage. It is so clean and elegant. It takes your tree from being pretty to being glam in two seconds flat!

Table Top Decor, Oh, Deer!

Oh, Deer! A great deer statue (I have multiple throughout the house!), a nutcracker, vintage trucks and mini's trees are all a must! This year you can find a few of my favourites at my one-stop-shop Christmas store! Canadian Tire has more than you can imagine for great options over the holidays! When I do design segments for the holidays on the morning shows, most of the pieces end up coming from Canadian Tire because they have great stock and they make it very easy to shop. Their website tells you exactly what the stock levels are and what aisle to find your items in, is there anything better?
