WELCOME TO DAYLE SHEEHAN INTERIOR DESIGN'S

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

BLOG SERIES!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Thank you for being here and loving Christmas alongside me this holiday season!

The world is a little crazy and has been a little crazy for a few years now so I wanted to kick off my holiday blog series with something that’s very important to me… shopping locally!

Supporting one another is one of the biggest ways we can spread joy! By shopping from a local vendor you are directly improving the lives of your friends, family, neighbours and community.

Today I am giving you the ultimate guide to Calgary’s Christmas Markets. If you’re like me you find out about great markets and events around the city once it’s too late!

Avoid fomo and give yourself a little dose of Christmas joy while supporting local artists, creators and businesses by hitting a few of the city’s best markets!

Spruce Meadows International Market

Growing up in Okotoks this is a Christmas tradition. This market is very large and offers both indoor and outdoor shopping opportunities. Arriving at Spruce Meadows feels like you have landed at the Northpole! It's truly magical.

When: December 3 to 5

Time: 10 am to 6 pm

Where: Spruce Meadows

Admission: $12 for adults, $6 for children and seniors

Saskatoon Farm Christmas Market

This indoor and outdoor event is featuring over 240 vendors! The Saskatoon Farm is magical all year long and the Christmas Market is next level. A million beautiful photo opportunities, a chance to get out of the city and a support local!

When: December 3,4,5 & December 10,11,12

Time: 9 am to 5 pm

Where: Saskatoon Farm

Admission: $7 - You must buy tickets in advance.

Inglewood Night Market - Christmas Edition

Inglewood has so much character and so many great restaurants and shops that you can do double duty, pop into a few local brick and morter shops as well as taking in the pop-up market vendors is a win-win! They are also featuring live music!

When: December 3

Time: 4 to 11 pm

Where: South Bank Building (880 9th Street SE, Calgary)

Admission: $5

Heritage Park’s Once Upon A Christmas

Is there a more dreamy location in the city than Heritage Park at Christmas time? This market features local vendors and a kids-only store. There is a breakfast buffet for an additional charge as well. You don’t want to miss this!

When: December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23

Time: 10 am to 4 pm

Where: Heritage Park Historical Village (1900 Heritage Drive SW)

Admission: $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for children

Market Collective - Holiday Edition

If you are a year-round market lover, you are already familiar with Market Collective. Their Christmas market is my personal favourite of the year! Market Collective always brings Calgary’s best creators together and offers one of the largest markets in the city.

When: December 10 to 12 and 17 to 19

Time: 4 to 9 pm on Friday, 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday

Where: BMO Centre Hall B + C (20 Round Up Way SE, Calgary)

Admission: $6 for the weekend

High River Winter Market

Want to go to one of Alberta’s cutest small towns for the holiday? This is your chance! So many of my favourite vendors are heading to the High River Winter Market.

When: December 3 to 4

Where: Highwood Memorial Centre

No shipping costs, no worrying about items arriving on time, the added advantage of pouring love and money into your community and doing something festive… how can you miss these amazing markets?

Thank you sooooo much for reading and stay tuned for a post a day for the next 12 days! I will be chatting all things Christmas, entertaining, gifting and more!

XO

Dayle
